Welcome Home

Well it's not our Forever House, but it's the point between here and there. It's the city house, in a Dickens, Austen, fantastic sort of way. A 1200 sq ft Victorian flat in the heart of South Troy. It's a gem, and it's ours. We take occupancy on April 1st, and will enjoy springtime in the city, a short walk to what I hear is the best coffee shop in Troy, a slightly longer walk to the public library, and a short jaunt away from Prospect Park, which (yay!) has a playground. We're around the corner from one set of friends, down the hill from another set, and a few blocks away from yet others. It'll be good to rock the urban life for a while. What did Mary Schmich say?

"Live in New York City once, but leave before it makes you hard. Live in Northern California once, but leave before it makes you soft."

Well, Troy's not entirely unlike NYC, in my opinion. Time to live there, if only for a little while.

  1. The house looks charming, and I know will look even more charming when you are done with it!
